Jim has over 20 years of experience conducting user interface design research and usability testing in a variety of product domains including military flight simulators, advanced automotive electronics, computer software, web sites, telecommunications systems and consumer products. Jim has previously worked as a government researcher, a specialist in corporate environments and a consultant in the private sector. He has over 40 technical publications and presentations in the area of consumer- and user-centered product design. Jim’s current focus is on product sensory quality. He has extensive experience collaborating with designers and engineers to improve the visual, auditory and tactile quality of products. Jim holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology from Rice University.
